Laura’s career as a Lawyer is enriched and augmented by her previous experience working in non-profit housing protecting the vulnerable and her work in residential and commercial real estate as a real estate agent.
Laura also volunteered her time as part of a management committee non-profit organisations for three years.
Laura has highly honed skills in dispute resolution and negotiation. Laura excels in finding practical solutions to difficulties that arise for couples post their separation. Laura also takes pride in her commonsense approach and ensures that her clients understand the law and how it applies to their individual and unique circumstances.
Laura is very committed to building relationships and rapport with each of her clients and supporting them through the separation experience. Understanding and respecting that separation is one of the most difficult life events that a person can go through, Laura supports her clients in dealing with the legal system and endeavours to make the journey through separation far less daunting and overwhelming for them. Laura aims to put her clients at ease and make them feel comfortable and confident while they navigate through the family law process.
Laura has described one of the reasons why she enjoys being a family lawyer as “the moment when a client’s matter has concluded, and they are strong and ready to take on the world is one of the reasons I do this work and find it so rewarding. I like to see my clients moving on with their lives in a positive way following this process.”
Laura demonstrated her commitment and dedication to her legal career and studied law part-time and after hours whilst working full-time job as a real estate agent. Laura is admitted as a Solicitor to both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
