Parenting Mediation with the assistance of a Child Expert
Full Day Mediation | 9.30am to 5.00pm
Mediator Fee - $3,850.00 (incl GST) plus the cost of a Child Expert
In parenting matters where there are complex issues, an expert report from a Child Expert has already been provided and is available to the parties, the children and/or the parties are neurodiverse or there are issues in relation to gender identity, it is often recommended and may be of some significant comfort and assistance to the parents to have a co-mediated Mediation with an experienced Mediator and experienced Child Expert.
We highly recommend co-mediation with a Child Expert in matters where there is already expert opinion available (a Family Report and/or a Psychiatric Assessment). This form of Mediation means that the parents have the benefit of both the experience of a Mediator and a Child Expert.
The primary goal is child focused and ensuring the bests interests and well-being of the children.
What Does It Include:
- Attendance at a full day Mediation with experienced Mediator and an Experienced Child Expert, either a Social Worker, Psychologist and/or Child Consultant.
This is recommended for matters where:-
- there are complex issues;
- the parents and/or the children are neurodiverse;
- the legal practitioners or the parties would benefit from the assistance of a Social Worker, Psychologist and/or Child Consultant Expert;
- there are multiple parties (beyond parents);
- a party or child has gender identity issues;
- a party or a child has a psychiatric illness;
- mental health issues have been raised in relation to a child or parent.
